(To be sung) Who lives in a pineapple and was made by Room 3? Spongebob soft plastics bin!

In Technology we have been looking for problems in our school to try and solve. We noticed there was a lot of soft plastic waste that we had no way of recycling. We decided that this was not very sustainable. So we designed 3 bins to collect soft plastics (the one that collects the most will win a prize). If you had some soft plastics to recycle which bin would you choose?

Team Spongebob? Team Wheels? Team Slam Dunk (no actual dunking allowed)?

Jagged Smackdown

In Room 3 we are all jagged. This means we are all good at different things and need to work on different things. Last week Room 3 students got advice from their families, friends and YouTube to work on their jagged goals. They then had 60 seconds to present their findings at our first ever Room 3 Smackdown!

We've just finished our two weeks of swimming at New Windsor. We learnt some important information about how to stay safe in the water. Wesley students leave some comments to share what you learnt...

Flipgrid

Today we were ordering fractions and practising explaining our answers. We used Flipgrid to record our thinking. Check out Nila and Brendan's video. What a great example of collaboration and disagreeing with someone in a positive way!

More recycling (or re-recycling, get it?)

Here's a procedure explaining the steps of recycling that Brendan has created.

It's togs and towel time!

Yes, swimming time is here again for the Kea and Hoiho teams. To make sure we are representing the school well by being respectful and responsible John has made this poster. Enjoy you swimming students!

Chromebook Parent Modules

This week four of our Chromebook Ninjas (students) helped some of our parents access their child's learning on the school website, class website, class blog and individual blogs. Good job Ninjas and good job parents who got BINGO! on their cards.
